Classic, classy and totally delicious, these Double Chocolate Covered Strawberries are an easy and impressive treat to serve. Fresh strawberries are generously dipped in both melted HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips and HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips for the ultimate chocolate experience.

  • 12 oz.
    HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips (Item# 61425)
  • 1 oz.
    shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil), divided
  • 1 qt.
    fresh strawberries, rinsed, patted dry and chilled
  • 6 oz.
    HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips (Item#14122)



Lightly spray sheet pans with vegetable cooking spray. Place parchment paper on prepared sheet pans


Place HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips and 1/2 oz. shortening in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 minute; stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 15 seconds at a time, just until smooth when stirred.


Holding by top, dip 2/3 of each strawberry into HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chip mixture; shake gently to remove excess. Place on prepared sheet pans; refrigerate until coating is firm, at least 30 minutes.


Repeat microwave procedure with HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips and remaining 1/2 oz. shortening in clean medium microwave-safe bowl. Dip lower 1/3 of each berry into chocolate mixture. Refrigerate until firm. Cover; refrigerate leftover strawberries.
