This Easy Cinnamon Apple Pie brings all the nostalgia — but with a unique kick to please a crowd. The fruity filling is spiced by HERSHEY'S Cinnamon Chips, then the whole pie is finished with a cinnamon drizzle for spicy sweetness in every bite. Don't forget a whipped cream or ice cream topper!
Heat convection oven to 375°F (standard oven: 425°F). Place 1 unbaked crust in bottom of each of three (9-inch) pie pans.
Gently stir together sliced apples, sugar and flour in large bowl; fold in 1 lb. 2 oz. HERSHEY'S Cinnamon Chips. Evenly divide mixture into prepared pans. Put second crust on top of each pie, crimping edges together as directed on package; cut several slits in top crust. Cover edges with foil.
Bake 25 minutes; remove foil. Continue baking 15 to 20 minutes** or until crust is golden brown and juices are bubbling out of slits. Cool completely.
Prepare CINNAMON DRIZZLE: Place 12 oz. HERSHEY'S Cinnamon Chips and shortening in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chips are melted when stirred. Just before serving, drizzle each piece with CINNAMON DRIZZLE. Refrigerate leftover pies. Makes 8 servings per pie.
Step 2: 2 cans (20 oz. each) sliced apples (not pie filling), drained may be substituted for the baking apples PER pie. Step 3: If using convection oven, rotate pans one-half turn (180°) after 25 minutes of baking.
