Directions

1

Prepare TRUFFLES: Combine HERSHEY'S Premier White Creme Chips and heavy cream in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 2 minutes; stir. If necessary, microwave an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted, and mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in orange extract, orange peel and red and yellow food coloring, if desired. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

2

Line full sheet pans with parchment paper. Set aside. Using #60 scoop, shape truffle mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on prepared sheet pans. Cover; refrigerate until firm.

3

Prepare WHITE COATING: Combine HERSHEY'S Premier White Creme Chips and shortening in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 2 minutes; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM (50%) an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted and smooth when stirred.

4

Remove one-quarter of truffles from refrigerator. Drop each chilled truffle ball into bowl of WHITE COATING. Working quickly, pick up the truffle ball (one at a time) and, with some extra coating in your hand, roll the truffle ball around on your palm of hands until evenly coated.* Place truffle ball back on prepared sheet pans. Repeat with remaining truffles, keeping an eye on the white coating so that it does not cool too much. (Return to microwave, if white coating cools and is hard to coat.) Allow coating to set at room temperature or refrigerate until set (about 30 minutes).

Tip

Step 4: You may double dip truffles for a thicker white coating once first coating is set.
