Make a dessert that's sweet as candy ... because there's real candy in every bite! These HEATH Almost Candy Bars include natural HERSHEY'S Cocoa, HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips and HEATH Toffee Bits for a chocolaty treat that will keep your customers coming back.

Ingredients & Directions


  • 2 lbs. 13 oz.
    all-purpose flour
  • 3-1⁄2 oz. (1 cup)
    HERSHEY'S Cocoa, Natural (Item# 63505)
  • 3 lbs.
  • 1 Tbsp.
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp.
  • 1 lb. 8 oz.
    unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 lbs. 4 oz.
    HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, 1000 ct. (Item# 61125)
  • 14 oz. (8 large )
  • 12 oz.
    HEATH Toffee Bits, medium grind (Item# 60550)
  • 1 lb. 8 oz.
    chopped walnuts
  • 12 oz. (1-1⁄2 cups)
    sweetened coconut flakes
  • 21-1⁄3 fl. oz.
    sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)



Heat convection oven to 300°F (standard oven: 350°F). Lightly spray one 18x26-inch full sheet pan with vegetable cooking spray. Place parchment paper on prepared sheet pan.


Blend together flour, HERSHEY'S Cocoa, sugar, baking powder and salt in 20 qt. bowl of mixer fitted with paddle attachment. Mix on low speed 30 seconds. Add butter and 1 lb. 8 oz. (4 cups) HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips; continue mixing until thoroughly combined. Gradually add eggs, continue to mix until batter comes together, about 2 minutes. Press batter evenly on bottom of prepared sheet pan. Sprinkle remaining 12 oz. (2 cups) HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, HEATH Toffee Bits, walnuts and coconut, in order, over batter. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over top.


Bake 25 to 30 minutes* or until top is golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2x3-inch bars.


Step 3: If using convection oven, rotate sheet pan one-half turn (180°) after 15 minutes of baking.
