The classic crisped rice cereal and marshmallow treat — but with a salty peanut butter upgrade. Guests are sure to love these nostalgic REESE'S Peanut Butter Crispy Treats, boasting a REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups coating and HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chip drizzle. Great for wrapping individually for point-of-sale displays.

  • 3 lbs.
    crisp rice cereal
  • 1 lb. 8 oz.
    salted butter
  • 6 lbs.
    miniature marshmallows
  • 10-2⁄3 fl. oz.
    light corn syrup
  • 3 lbs.
    REESE'S Peanut Butter Chips, 4000 ct. (Item# 61725)
  • 1 lb. 2 oz.
    Chopped REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups (Item# 40024)
  • 12 oz.
    HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips (Item# 61425)
  • 1-1⁄2 oz.
    shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)



Lightly spray one 18x26-inch full sheet pan with vegetable cooking spray. Place pan extender on prepared sheet pan. Measure cereal in large bowl. Set aside.


Melt butter in large heavy-bottomed saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows, corn syrup and REESE'S Peanut Butter Chips, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat.


Pour mixture over cereal, mixing until well coated. Quickly press mixture into prepared pan, using buttered spatula or wax paper. Immediately sprinkle Chopped REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups over surface, pressing down slightly.


Prepare MILK CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE: Place HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips and shortening in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Drizzle over Chopped REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups. Allow drizzle to set up. Cut into 2x3-inch bars. Cover, store at room temperature.
