This Sizzling Barbecue Shrimp Skewer recipe adds a new dimension of flavor to your shrimp kabobs thanks to HERSHEY'S Cocoa. It's a chef's secret barbecue boost that is sure to have guests raving about your food prep prowess.
Heat 4 fl. oz. vegetable oil in large heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; cook until tender. Stir in ketchup, water, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, vinegar, mustard and hot pepper sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer until thickened, approximately 20 minutes.
Combine HERSHEY'S Cocoa with additional 1 fl. oz. vegetable oil to form a smooth paste; stir into sauce. Remove from heat. Dip each shrimp into sauce; let stand 20 minutes to marinate.
Heat broiler; thread 4 shrimp on each skewer. Place shrimp on broiler tray. Broil 4 inches from heat until shrimp are done, approximately 4 minutes each side. Serve with remaining sauce.
